For those of you who do not know, Ryan and Laura (brother an sister) are from our home church in Toledo, OH. Ryan was the young man who opened his home for us while we were in the States on our HMA last summer and fall. We stayed with him the whole 6 months. It was a wonderful experience for us, and our kids got an older brother. Needless to say, we missed him a lot since we left. Finally, the day of their arrival came, and what great rejoicing was here! I asked the kids what their favorite part was of having Ryan and Laura here. They all said, "Playing games with them." Thanks for bringing those games for the kids, guys, and for playing! My favorite part was just walking with them, showing our neighborhood and the city and talking. Thank you, Ryan and Laura, for taking a detour and visiting us in southern Ukraine! This was a real treat for all of us!
Marc and Renee, we got your greetings form Ryan as well as your wishes to see more on the blog (I know Rhonda is with you on this, too) -- I want to write more, there is just so much to write about that I get overwhelmed. If you could ask me specific questions, that would help me to get started. What would you like to hear about? Other friends, you are welcome to participate in this, too. The best way is to post a comment on the blog and I will get to it asap. (Posts are moderated.)
Finally, here are a couple of pictures which were taken today. It's hard to believe we actually had visitors from our church family! Hopefully, this will start a trend.
